Happy 1 Month Birthday Cannon!!

**UPDATE, I REPLACED VIDEO WITH A PICTURE**This is my first video attempt, I hope everyone can view it OK. Cannon is one month old today, I can't believe it. I seem to be saying that a lot lately. He is growing fast and becoming more and more alert and active. We are now battling the classic baby stuff of baby acne and cradle cap. He has also started to lose his hair, so soon we will see what his permanent hair color will be.

Being a mom gets more and more incredible everyday. We have been truely blessed with a wonderful child!!

By the way, Maultsby Club Lambs won the county show this year for the first time. 2009 is off to a great start!!

3 weeks old, we can't believe it. Time has never flown by so fast. Cannon is such an enjoyable baby, rarely fussing. We have truly been blessed in that regard. He is sleeping about 4 hour stretches at night now and 3 hour stretches during day.

We went on our first store outing this week, to of course the feed store, and our second store outing to Home Depot. Dad says we are starting him out right, lol.

This week is the McLennan County Livestock Show so Craig will be busy with the sheep all week. Good luck to cousin's Casey and Dawson as they show their lambs.

2 weeks old today

We can't believe Cannon is 2 weeks old today. Time really does fly by. We had our 2 week check up today and the doctor says he is thriving!! We are up to 9 pounds 2 ounces and 21 3/4 inches long. Cannon continues to become more and more alert every day. He is very content no matter where he is, although we think his favorite seat in the house is his little lamb swing.

Craig went back to work this week armed with a fistfull of pictures for the proud new daddy to show off. Steph's mom goes back to Arizona tomorrow so Steph will start to fly solo. Cannon is such a good baby that we are not worried. Plus we are so fortunate to be surrounded with Craig's family and good friends to help if we need. Everyday is a blessing!!

Texas Tech Wins!!!!

As I am sure all of you Red Raiders are aware, Texs Tech made history last night defeating #1 ranked Texas!! What an exciting game, and of course you know that Craig, the biggest of all Tech fans, is bouncing off the walls. He was fortunate in getting be at the game last night with buddy Mark Cox and had terrific seats to see history made. This is a photo of the view Craig and Mark had from there seats last night. Do we smell a BCS Bowl in our future???

Nursery

I know it has been a long time since you have heard from the Maultsby's. We have finally started getting the nursery together. Craig and Papa Allen worked diligently assembly the crib after Craig and Papa Maultsby worked for days getting the room painted and rented. We are so thrilled with how it is turning out. As you can see it farm animal themed. We are still waiting on a rocking chair and where to hang the wall hangings, but we are starting to feel prepared, or at least a ready as you can be when expecting your first baby.

Arizona Baby Shower

I know that these are a long time coming, but here our some pictures of the baby shower Stephanie shared with long time friend Lisa in Arizona on August 31st. Lisa is due January 31st and also expecting a boy "Reed Robert Ross". The shower was hosted by mutual friend Julie Hernandez at the home of Marilynn Berggren. A special thank you to Stephanie's mom and Aunt Pat for the delicious lunch.
